Perhaps the best song ever written for driving in the car is performed by Dire Straits - Walk of Life.
When my son, nieces & nephew were small, they'd be in the car with me and just hearing the opening notes would start them giggling...they knew what was coming. Suddenly our car would start "dancing", especially if we were coming to a stop...Mom/Aunt Terri tapping on the brake to the beat.
They are now 24, 23, 18 & 13 and still call this our Happy Song...
Enjoy and have a happy weekend!!

lol I do that with the kids too. We don't have a specific song though. Just me being silly. Although Tristan always liked when I sang Fernando. I'm assuming he liked it anyways. He didn't stop me! Usually he does.
My day - tell me - would you do the same? I see this little old lady, I'm talking really little - you can't even see her standing behind a white picket fence - waiting for the bus, she's there every Friday. Anyways, I see the bus drive right by her today. So I turned my car around and asked her if she would like a ride. She thanks me and says "It's ok, it was the wrong bus, mine comes in 10 minutes." So I leave. Go to the grocery store, then the bank. I'm standing at the little desk in the bank writing out my check for my mortage. There's about 3 people in line. I'm thinking "No big deal". Well...all of a sudden about 5 people walk in at once. At this point, I'm writing faster - I have fudgsicles in the trunk. The last 2 to walk in are a man and a muslim woman. The man goes and stands in line. I hurry up and get in line behind him, his mother is standing at the little desk filling out whatever she needs to fill out. When I get behind the guy, he all of a sudden walks to his mother - figuring she won't be ready in time. She gets bossy and tells him to get back in line. I stood my ground. I stayed right where I was. The man lets out a heavy sigh - releasing a strong wind full of bad breath. I moved up. Now, had it been that little old lady at the bus stop, guess who would've been first in line. lol I might go ahead and post this.
I don't know that song, but there are plenty that I bop to in the car!
I loved Dire Straits. This is one of the best songs for any time or place.
Am I too young to like Dire Straits? I blame it on my Dad as I remember him jamming to the album while driving to the Jersey Shore when I was a wee little Alejandro.
Happy Mother's Day!!!!! Much love -
