  • Can it possibly be 2020 already.....

I wonder if any of my old friends ever check Xanga out anymore. I've been here for the past couple days reading my old entries. Boy, I sure always had a lot to say, huh? haha Not much has changed in that regard.

So my new online home is of course Facebook. I bet a lot of yours is too. I've actually got a few friends there that I was fortunate to take from here. But I'm still missing YOU.

I am Terri Rager Campbell over there. Look me up, I miss you.

If you don't facebook you could always email me...I'd love to hear from you

  • Hmmmmm

Do people really watch Conan?  Ok, he's been off for a while, apparently, but coming back (too) soon.  Will you be in his audience?  Even his commercials make me crazy, the one where he's "dancing" to no music, and now the close up of his hand which he compares to Hugo Chavez....I'm not gettin it.

I was just looking at the peeps on my list here and find that most are gone.  My darlin Damaris has even deleted all of her entries.  I wonder where she is.  And how she is.  Happy I hope.

So I was fooling around on the computer last night and I went to the web site for Obama's A House For Every Deadbeat program and just for giggles I did the little quiz to see if I was eligible for any of the programs for refinancing at a lower interest rate.

Did you get your home loan before 2009?  Check
Did you lose your job or have a big decline in your income?  Check
Is your current house payment more than 31% of your income? No, about 29%
Are you one or more payments behind in your current mortgage?  Nope, currently current

Sorry, you help yourself therefore we will not be helping you, thanks for visiting us, now pass your computer on to the lady making babies for a living.

No, I am not bitter, just sick & tired.  A couple years ago they made this little side street down the road from me and they put 7 or 8 homes on that new street.  The sign advertised "affordable housing".  Like $500 down and $479 a month.  All the houses filled up really quickly.  And now 3 or 4 of them are sitting empty with foreclosure warning papers stuck on the front windows.  Now I ask you, if you can't make a house payment of $479 a month where are you gonna live?  You can't rent an apartment for that.

I love root beer.  They have it caffeine free now.  Muggs I think it's called.  Oh wait, it's sugar I'm suppose to stay away from...oops

For cryin out loud, Cyndi Lauper is on Bones.  As a psychic.  Holy moly  *L*

Two ladies at work today told me I was awesome.  I think that's awesome.

Well, Sadie is outside barkin at the door in that "Come and get me.  NOW" voice. So I best be gettin to it.  You all have a wonderful evening, you know I will  heart

  • And the People of Ohio speak......

    LOUD & CLEAR

2010 US election results Democrat | Republican
    US House 74   126 seats
US Senate 47 seats*   40 seats
OH Governor (56% reporting) 46% Strickland     49% Kasich
OH US Senate (53% reporting) 38% Fisher     58% Portman
Google News - Yahoo! News - CNN - MSNBC * includes 2 independents who caucus with Democrats

At 10 p.m. ET, Republicans had gained 11 of the 39 seats they needed to take control in the House, NBC News projected. Once all the votes were counted, Republicans would hold 237 seats to 198 for the Democrats, the network projected, based on reported returns and its independent analysis of exit polling data.

If the projection holds, Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio would succeed Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California as speaker. As he left his Washington apartment Tuesday night, Boehner said he was optimistic but that "it's going to be a long evening."

Maybe Pelosi will actually retire, boy, thats a party I dont wanna miss

  • Sunshiny Sunday

I have noticed that my local politicians now campaigning to keep their jobs are not even bothering to lie about what they're going to do for us if re-elected.  They are simply telling us how bad their opponent is.  As if I and thousands of other thoughtful voters aren't noticing their lack of details about what they plan to do with our future.  I already voted, if they had an R after their name I chose them.  Can't be any worse than having all these's D's in office.

Heres a fun little video for ya....If you're a democrat and it hurts your feelings feel free to just it shut it down...This is always an option in Teriland, this ain't no nanny state

And yes, I know, the R's in office suck too...that's why I'm advocating the replacment of EVERYONE who is now in office.  Let's start fresh & see what happens.

I'm sitting in my dining room, typing on my new laptop (I fried the old one...water & electronics do not mix..public service announcement)  listening to the gentle sounds of Nate welding something in my driveway.  Someday I'm almost certain I will be able to once again park in my garage.

Got a "promotion" at work.  From Financial Counselor to Financial Coodinator.  The difference?  One week in 5 I have to sit out in the booth all day long and take appointments with folks who have no insurance but need to get some procedure or test done, and figure out if they can get it for free.  It's been interesting.  My first "client" was a beep beep beep - edited for job security reasons  stunned

I gotta brand new boyfriend. (sang to the tune of Steve Holy's Gotta a Brand New Girlfriend)  No, really, I do.  His name is John and he's crazy about me and scares the shit outta me, but I'm trying to roll with it.  He saw me in June on Tagged and thought I was someone he knew from high school so he left me a message.  We started talking from there, then the phone, and in Sept I let him come here and meet in person.  Ok, before you holler at me for letting him come here, he works for the city of Akron, knew where I lived, had driven by, and I had Mr. Smith & Wesson hiding in the flower box behind me.  Ok, I didn't have the gun, but Nate was in the garage, 2 steps from where we were on the back porch.  So yeah, he's got it bad. Me, not as bad as him, but I do like him.  I'm just not used to all this niceness...honesty...togetherness.  I had to sit him down a couple weeks ago and tell him he had to give me some room cuz I was freaking out with all the togetherness  *L*  Funny thing is that he took it all in, patiently accepted it and backed off, all while letting me know he wasn't going anywhere unless I wanted him to.  So....I dunno.  Roll with it, baby.

So, statistics - he's 54, has worked for the city for 20 yrs (pension), divorced for 2 yrs, has a 13 yr old daughter (drama, child support), doesn't have a Harley but lit up when I mentioned I was lookin for a Harley & a pension plan  *L*   He's a lot bigger than the men I have dated in the past - bigger as in stocky.  He's Italian/American.  He swore he knew me from somewhere and through talking we have found that his cousin was my counselor in jr high school and another cousin worked with my sister & brother in law, and looking thru my picture albums he recognized Nate's dad and the friends we had at the time we were together...so quite possibly we have been in the same circles like 30 yrs ago and he, of course, noticed beautiful lil me while I was totally unaware of him  *LOL*  what a bitch, huh?  *g*

I'm sure I'll screw it up somehow.

Alrighty then, I have food to prepare for a retirement lunch thingy at work tomorrow.  You kids have a wonderful evening ~ You know I will!

March 30, 2010

  • Hi There

So, February was a pretty good month for me....

I finally started training for the position I was awarded in October at work

Which means, I'm working days again, yipppeeeee!

I got dumped via text - which was actually pretty appropriate seeing as how nearly the entire relationship was conducted by text     That's a year of my life I'll never get back....big dummy.

I lost 10 lbs which may or may not be linked to being dumped.  I'm leaning towards NOT.

I made and followed through on some financial decisions that I've ignored for the last 2 yrs.

I've begun to have a life again.

So there ya have it in a nutshell, Terri is moving right along.  Man, was I ever in a rut.  I don't know why you don't realize that before you start having trouble seeing over the sides, but that's how it usually works out.  Ok, I knew I was in one, just didn't know how to get out of it and so tried to ignore it.  Trust me, this is not something I recommend

My new job is entitled Financial Counselor.  I get a kick out of saying that.  Yes, I am a Financial Counselor.  (You have to say it with the caps)  Makes it sound like I know enough about finances to counsel someone on the topic, huh?  Well, I guess I do, DON'T GET IN DEBT!  that much I know  *L*  So yeah, all I do all day long is sit on hold with insurance companies getting patients benefits and pre-authorizations for their stay in Hotel Local Hospital.  BUT, I get off at 4:30 and the sun is still shining for hours afterward so....you gotta have trade offs

Nate turned 26 on March 13th.  I am shocked that I am old enough to have a 26 yr old.  Sheesh, where did that time go?

I will be 50 this year.  FIFTY.  Yep, I've survived for 50 years, yeah me!

Speaking of 50...thats how many more pounds I'm gonna lose in 2010.  10 at a time, baby........

Ok, here's the irony of the financial counselor thing...I just filed bankruptcy.  Normally this is not something I would tell ya, being of such a personal, humiliating nature.  But I gotta tell ya, 3 yrs ago I would have been humiliated and ashamed...not now.  When I lost my job in March 2008 so did 200,000 other Ohioans.  I was perfectly able to pay my bills with my old job - not so with the new one.  You can't lose 1/2 of your income and still keep up on all the same bills, it's just impossible.  And that's no exaggeration, I am making almost exactly 1/2 of what I did.  No shame in my game, darlin, I am admitting defeat and moving on.  I'm thankful to have a job and that it keeps me in my house, at this point I can't ask for much more when people all around us are losing their homes.

Hmm...what else is going on?  Not a whole lot really.  I'm just getting used to being on days again, trying to work into some kind of routine so that I use my evenings to my best advantage.  Started on the treadmill again, working to get to that 20 minute mile (I did it in 22.37 minutes tonight *g*)   I find myself taking more "Me" time, little things that I had abandoned - working out, painting my nails, coloring my hair, moisturizing

Ok, time to take my beautiful self to bed for my nightly beauty rest.  Don't have a heart attack when you see I've posted here!

As always, I love you guys

  • This is not the Kennedy seat, or the Dem seat...

    It's the PEOPLE'S seat.........

A message to all members of Patriotic Resistance
The AP has projected Scott Brown the Senate winner in Massachusetts. Martha Coakley has conceded. Current numbers 52% - 47%.

This is revolutionary! A Republican has not held the Senate seat in MA in almost six decades. This election result will send a strong message to DC and the Democrats that Americans are not happy with the current status quo and frankly aren't going to take it anymore.

I believe this sends a message that we want to kill health care and We the People have spoken! This is a great model of what can happen in the 2010 midterms. Many groups and individuals participated in phone banking for Brown and tonight's results are a clear indication of the impact the conservative movement is capable of.

It's a new year and we are going to Flip this House!

    God Bless,
    Darla Dawald, National Director

  • Hey, How about Us?

    Dear  Friend,

I was outraged when I found out the Obama Administration  wanted to give Guantanamo Bay detainees  the H1N1 vaccine while millions of Americans - including  pregnant women and children - are still waiting  to get the H1N1 vaccine because of massive shortages.

Swine flu is a very real concern for all of us across  the country.  Currently, the H1N1 vaccine is only being provided to  certain high-risk segments of the population.  The vaccine is in short supply,  and, as such, there are millions of Americans in these high-risk groups still  awaiting the vaccine.  We should save the vaccine for those who need it  most, and as of today, women, children and other at-risk individuals should  fall squarely in line under that category.

Last week I introduced a Senate resolution with  several of my colleagues asserting that the Obama Administration should not  provide Guantanamo Bay detainees and terror suspects with the H1N1 vaccine  before the H1N1 vaccine shortage is addressed and all American citizens  prioritized as vulnerable to H1N1 have the choice to obtain the H1N1 vaccine.

Rest assured as your Senator, I will keep fighting so that terrorist suspects and detainees do  not jump to the front of the line while millions of Americans vulnerable to  H1N1 are waiting to take the vaccine.

    Sincerely,

    David Vitter
    U.S.  Senator

Uh huh...change you can believe in
