  • Just what were these people thinking.  Hey, if they get their information from the main stream media, what do we expect?  Wonder if we will now be weeping over the lack of comfort for the terrorists and those that are incarcerated at Gitmo...the same guys who throw poop in the face of those "mean, abusive, American" soldiers.  Hey now they will have more rights than we do.  And....now they will get out and try to impeach the man who is trying to do what is right in a time of the worst war the world has ever known and he IS doing a fine job and things are being accomplished(or were) and. now the minimun wage will be raised so that we who are on fixed income will not be able to afford anything and the people that are most needy will be fired and...now we will have more judges like the 9th circuit court ....and best of all, we will have the faces of that....tch n. pelosi with her shrill, shrieking and of course there's Harry Reid.

I mean why aren't we happy today.?

  • The "people" wanted change in our area they got it big time..........Prayer Prayer Prayer...........I just hope that people who didn't want so much change keep their eagle eye on the new programs that were voted in and that they keep an eye on the idiot that is now national speaker of the house.

I have no idea what the new minimum wage law will do to the small businesses and the price of things in this state.  We have so many on welfare etc. that they will vote for anything that looks like money.  The property owners and others that pay their own way just continue to "eat" it all.  I think you should have to be a property owner to vote on some of the things that come up.  Is that predudice?  Maybe so but I see so much of the stupidity of so many in this area that I'm getting mean in my old age.

  • I kept thinking that the Republications where going to lose seats for the last six elections. The worm always seems to turn.
For some reason I just loathe Nancy Pelosi but I so hope they make her speaker of the house. A couple of years of listening to her and maybe the worm will turn again.
In any event at least now I can bitch, and they can try to defend.

  • Hi Miss T.

RYC: We vote at our summer residence for two reasons.

First, it is where we plan to retire. We do spend about 5 months of the year in residence there. 3 months in the summer and other weeks on and off the rest of the year. I do care about the future of things in Ottawa county (not thatI don't care about the future of things in Cuyahoga county).

Second, I have had to serve jury duty twice in downtown Cleveland because I live in Cuyahoga county. Last time I served I said to myself, "No more, no way. I am not going to deal with morning and afternoon traffic jams. I have an alternative and that is to vote in the district of our summer home." So if I have I get called up for jury duty, it will be much less stressful at our sleepy little town on the lake, rather than downtown in the big city of Cleveland.

  • I'm sorry. I heard about OH particularly, and thought of you. I love to razz you because of your passion, but I was feeling your pain this morning. Hugs.

  • In my youth I might have but really don't need to get a deer. It is more like a chess match to me now, sometimes you win sometimes you lose.
