  • I just got an email from Just My Size advertising a sale on their Minimizing Bra's.  In a few more weeks I'll be able to just wear wife beaters, forget the bra altogether.    Why is it that the boobs are always the first to go?  Sheesh.

    Drum roll, please.....21 lbs gone as of this morning.  Yippee!

    I was just listening to a campaign ad for Ted Strickland.  He's running for....I think Governor of Ohio, against Ken Blackwell, whom I intend to vote for.  Anyhow, Ted's talking about how when he was a kid his father worked in the mills, and ever meal he had he was ever mindful that there were other children in the household who had to eat also.  So...how does this make him a good candidate for  Governor?  Does this mean he will make sure I have food in my fridge?  Damn nice of him.   Hmmmm...also, they have some former school teacher who praises him for his work with children and his "ministry".  So, I'm taking it that he's some kind of pastor??  So...how is it that he consistently votes for abortion and for same sex marriage?  Just askin.....

    I'm going to say one thing about the Michael J. Fox/Rush Limbaugh thing.  This is my opinion & you can feel free to disagree with me, but that doesn't make me wrong     I personally am tired of "victims" coming forward, saying anything they want to say, even if it's not factual, and then the rest of us cannot respond because they are poor, poor victims.  If you are going to put yourself out there as an authority on something, if you are going to stand in front of me and give me your opinion on some topic, then you are fair game for rebuttal. 

    Michael J. Fox, yes, he is sick, and yes, it is sad, but the things he said in his campaign ad are not factual and maybe he should think about raising false hopes in people with similar conditions as his.  The measure that is on the ballet in Missouri is actually a cloning measure, not a stem cell proposal, stem cell research is already going on in Missouri ...but he isn't telling you that, just that the mean ole Republican is against finding cures for poor diseased people.  If you would take a minute to remember the last Pope... he had Parkinson's also..and the media thought he should step down and stop forcing us to see his suffering.  But when it makes good press for a senator or whatever running for office, then lets drag out & parade the sick among us.  Kinda poor taste, if you ask me. 

    Cindy Sheehan is another one, along with the Jersey 4.  They are victims, so whatever they say, we have to give them a pass, we cannot criticize or rebut them.  Bullshit.  3,000 families lost loved ones on 9-11, the Jersey 4 doesn't corner that market.  Almost 3,000 other families have lost loved ones in the Iraq/Afghanistan wars...Cindy doesn't corner that market.  My own son was wounded in Iraq..well, guess what?  I'm one in hundreds of thousands of families who have loved ones who have been wounded, so I don't corner that market.  Victim or not, if you're wrong, you're wrong, and I for one do not appreciate the Emperor's new clothes syndrome that we are all suppose to subscribe to.

    So...how's your day goin?

    I was just talking to my aunt about the MJF/Limbaugh thing.  I heard on talk radio yesterday that Patricia Keaton, or is it Heaton, is coming out with a political commercial to counter the MJF one and stem cell research.  I also heard that MJF's foundation has $7,000,000.00 in the savings account and that last year they actually had more money than ever before for stem cell research.  If it's so important and urgent, why is he holding back the 7 mil?  Waiting for the dems to fund it instead.  The $7 mil is money from contributions from people with interest.  USE IT

  • Do you have any idea how glad we will be when this election is over!?  From the county to the national level things are so messed up and continue to get worse.  I have gotten so I mute all the political commercials.  I'm sick of them and feel everyone else is too.  Do these candidates think we are such idiots that they have to hammer all this junk at us constantly?  I may not be bright but I'm smarter than they are most of the time.

    The MJF commercial is so bogus and the woman he is campaining for on this issue alone....he has no real knowledge of her....is so hurtful to this state.  If she gets in we are going to have no decent representation in the Senate from this area.  She has always been crooked (is that spelled right?)  from her beginnings in the KC area.  We vote Independent so I'm not just saying this because of her party affilliations. 

    The election system in this country is so broken that I doubt it can ever be fixed and just an add on.....if the woman inline for speaker of the house gets in evil incarnate will be sitting in that chair.

  • I still don't know who to vote for:  the right-to-life democrate who doesn't have a proven track record, or the incumbant republican who seems to just follow party guidelines and has passed every spending measure that came his way.  What happened to fiscally conservative republicans?  Just asking.  I have crossed party lines in the past, to vote against George Ryan when he ran for governor of Illinois.  He was anti-life, and his democratic opponent was pro-life.  George won, was indicted four years later, and is now cooling his heals in the slammer.  Oy vey.  There really should be somebody that represents my opinions!

    Maybe because a Christian oughta be for civil rights (live and let live) rather than agin'em?

    The M J Fox thing? I dunno what to say, cause I haven't seen the ads -- we don't get the American campaign out here in the antipodes hehe. I guess I'll have to reserve judgement, except I disagree with Limbaugh saying the twitching and tremors of parkinsons disease happen when the patient misses their medication. There does come a point where medication can only do so much. Having nursed patients with that disease, I can vouch for that much, at least.

  • I agree they open themselves up but ummmm.... that was mean. I think Rush is a jerk all the time though. I really don;t think MJF would give up his many million dollar career to fake a disease... Either way.... Rush was mean.
